Gain the confidence to design and make any garment you want at Sew In Brighton

On this course you'll make your own skirt in any design you can dream up, as well as learning the design and pattern cutting skills to make dressmaking patterns that fit you like a glove!

We give you the opportunity to sew your own designs, copy your favorite clothes or recreate vintage patterns in your size!

If you have ever made clothes from commercial dressmaking patterns, but you wish you have more style choice or a better fit, then come along to our amazing easy classes and meet our lovely and patient teachers!


The course will be run at the Cornerstone Community on the corner Church Rd and First Ave, Hove.

8 Mondays | 7.00 - 9.30 pm | 12th May - 7th Jul (excluding Bank Holidays)

(12th, 19th May / 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd & 30th Jun / 7th July)

If you cannot do these dates but are keen to do this course you can usually cover this content in 8 hours of 1-2-1 classes with our wonderful tutors. To request details of this or later course dates call or email us

This course is for newbies to pattern cutting but you'll need to have sewn at least one garment before.

There is no sewing in the classes but you'll need to sew for homework on a couple of the weeks (machines available at our sewing lounge if you need them)
