Ms. Senior British pageant celebrates women over 60, Take part in Ipswich Suffolk This Year.
The Ms. Senior British Pageant is an exciting combination of talent and inner beauty along with individual fulfillment and elegance.Ms. Senior British Pageant
More than a "beauty pageant" it is what Britain is about . . . a re-affirmation of life and self worth, of laughter and tears, of inner beauty and outward charm.
By giving women 60 years of age and older an opportunity to display their "inner beauty," talents, and elegance, the Pageant seeks to draw attention to the achievements of senior women. The Pageant motivates and encourages women to utilize their full potential and share a positive outlook on life with others. Participants represent a cross section of the UK.
The Ms. Senior British Pageant is a project by the charity organization that depends on sponsors and volunteers to continue to present the positive aspects of aging and to act as an educator. Sponsors include individuals, government agencies, private business, social and service organizations.
The Ms. Senior British Pageant allows sponsors to celebrate the vitality of today's senior woman and to applaud her accomplishments in the community, state, and nation.
Each contestant meets individually with a panel of judges. This is her opportunity to demonstrate her personality and conversational skill, and begins the judges' task of selecting the lady who best meets the ideals of Senior Britain.
The Pageant recognizes physical fitness, but seeks to emphasize that true beauty is a matter of insight as well as eyesight. Each contestant shares her personal "Philosophy of Life" with the audience so that the judges may develop an insight into each lady's own inner beauty. The thirty second Philosophy statement isn't a biography, but rather the wisdom that the contestant wishes to share with the younger generation.
Senior British believes that the woman makes the clothes with her taste, style, and knowledge of what's right for her. During this event the judges seek the contestant whose poise and grace best illustrate the "Age of Elegance."
Ms. Senior British demonstrates that talent does not diminish with age, and should continue to be shared. Each contestant presents her talent within a specifically allotted time. Whether music, dance, comedy, drama, poetry, art, sewing, or other special skill, talent presentations demonstrate the extraordinary, and ongoing, gifts of today's senior women. Respect for the time limit shows that maturity can bring both creativity and good judgment.
The Ms. Senior British Pageant is judged in two phases: the Preliminary Round and the Finals. In the Preliminary Round, each contestant receives a score, from one to ten, in each of the four categories discussed above. Contestant interviews are held in advance, and the judges' scores for the Interview Category are submitted to the Chairperson and Tabulator. Preliminary Evening Gown, Philosophy of Life and Talent scores are reported by the judges as they view the contestants on stage. The four scores are then added together, and the ladies who receive the top ten scores are announced as Finalists. Finalists enter the stage for the Final Round with their scores from their Interviews and are judged a second time on their Evening Gown, Philosophy of Life and Talent Presentations.
